MEETCHI LTD
Terms of Use
These Terms of Use form a legally binding agreement between you and MEETCHI LTD and govern your access to and use of the Meetchi application, website, and related services.
Effective Date
30 June 2026
Last Updated

1. Eligibility and Age Requirement
The Service is strictly intended for adults.
You may create an account or use the Service only if:
- you are at least 18 years old;
- you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement;
- you are legally permitted to use dating services in your country or jurisdiction;
- you are not prohibited by law from using the Service;
- you have not previously been permanently removed or banned from the Service, unless we have expressly authorised your return; and
- you are not required to register as a sex offender in any jurisdiction.
Where the legal age of majority in your jurisdiction is higher than 18, you must have reached that higher age before using the Service.
No Minors
Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to access, register for, or use the Service under any circumstances.
By creating an account, you expressly represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old.
Providing a false date of birth, using another person’s identity, bypassing age controls, or otherwise misrepresenting your age is a serious violation of these Terms.
We may request age or identity verification at any time. We may suspend or permanently terminate an account where:
- we reasonably suspect that the user is under 18;
- the user refuses or fails to complete an age-verification request;
- the verification information appears false, altered, misleading, or inconsistent; or
- another user reports credible concerns regarding the user’s age.
Although we implement reasonable age-gating, reporting, moderation, and verification measures, we cannot guarantee that every user provides accurate information. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meetchi is not responsible for false age declarations, false identities, or other misrepresentations made by users that could not reasonably have been detected by us.
Nothing in this section limits our responsibility to take reasonable action after receiving credible notice that an account may belong to a minor.
If you believe that a person under 18 is using the Service, report the account immediately through the in-app reporting feature or contact info@meetchi.com.
2. Your Account
You may need to create an account using an email address, telephone number, Google account, Apple account, or another supported authentication method.
You agree to:
- provide truthful, accurate, current, and complete information;
- keep your account information up to date;
- maintain the security of your login credentials;
- prevent unauthorised access to your device and account;
- use only your own identity, photographs, and information;
- maintain only one personal account unless we expressly permit otherwise; and
- notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
You are responsible for activities carried out through your account unless those activities result from a security failure for which we are legally responsible.
You must not sell, transfer, rent, license, share, or provide access to your account to another person.
We may use automated systems, human review, verification tools, device information, behavioural signals, and reports from other users to identify duplicate accounts, fake profiles, scams, safety risks, and violations of these Terms.
3. Nature of the Service
Meetchi provides a platform through which adults may discover, communicate with, and potentially meet other users.
Meetchi:
- is not a marriage agency;
- is not a matchmaking guarantee;
- does not guarantee compatibility, communication, matches, dates, relationships, or any particular result;
- does not act as an agent for users;
- is not a party to interactions, agreements, meetings, relationships, or transactions between users; and
- does not routinely conduct comprehensive criminal, identity, employment, financial, or background checks on every user.
Profile verification, photo verification, age verification, badges, moderation decisions, or other safety features do not constitute an endorsement, guarantee, or confirmation that a user is safe, trustworthy, truthful, or free from a criminal history.
You are solely responsible for evaluating other users and deciding whether and how to interact with them.
4. User Safety and Personal Information
Online and offline interactions with other users involve inherent risks. You must exercise care, judgement, and caution.
You should not disclose sensitive personal information to another user, including:
- your home or work address;
- financial account or payment card information;
- passwords or authentication codes;
- passport, national identity, tax, or social security numbers;
- private medical information;
- precise routine or travel details;
- intimate photographs or recordings;
- information that could be used to locate, impersonate, blackmail, defraud, or harm you; or
- any other information you would not want made public.
Never send money, cryptocurrency, gift cards, financial credentials, or valuable items to another user, regardless of the reason given.
When meeting someone in person, you should:
- meet in a public place;
- tell a trusted person where you are going;
- arrange your own transportation;
- remain in control of your food and drink;
- avoid sharing your home address prematurely; and
- contact local emergency services if you feel threatened or unsafe.
Meetchi cannot control what another user does with information that you voluntarily disclose to them. Once you send information, photographs, messages, or other content to another user, that person may save, copy, record, publish, or redistribute it without your permission.
You are responsible for deciding what information you share with other users.
Report suspicious, abusive, fraudulent, threatening, exploitative, or illegal conduct immediately through the Service.
5. Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation Safety Standards
Meetchi has zero tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation and Child Sexual Abuse Material.
The following conduct is strictly prohibited:
- creating, possessing, uploading, requesting, transmitting, distributing, promoting, selling, exchanging, or facilitating CSAM;
- sexualising, grooming, soliciting, exploiting, trafficking, coercing, blackmailing, or endangering a minor;
- attempting to arrange sexual contact or sexual communication with a minor;
- sharing sexualised images, videos, illustrations, animations, audio, or text involving minors;
- requesting or encouraging a minor to produce sexual or intimate material;
- pretending to be a minor for exploitative, predatory, or unlawful purposes;
- directing users to external platforms, websites, groups, or services containing or facilitating CSAE or CSAM;
- using the Service to identify, contact, groom, recruit, exploit, or traffic minors;
- threatening to distribute intimate material involving a minor;
- sexual role-play involving minors or persons represented as minors;
- posting childhood photographs in a sexualised context;
- posting nude or sexually suggestive photographs of minors, including childhood photographs of the account holder; or
- assisting another person in any of the conduct listed above.
Suspected violations may result in immediate content removal, account suspension, permanent account termination, preservation of relevant records, and reporting to appropriate law-enforcement or child-protection authorities.
Where we obtain actual knowledge of apparent CSAM or child exploitation, we may take actions required by applicable law, including reporting confirmed or apparent material to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, the Internet Watch Foundation, local law enforcement, or another competent national or regional authority.
We may preserve account information, content, technical records, device information, IP information, reports, and communications where reasonably necessary to investigate or report suspected child exploitation, comply with law, or protect a child.
Users must immediately report suspected CSAE or CSAM using the in-app reporting tool or by contacting MEETCHI LTD at info@meetchi.com.
Do not download, save, forward, reproduce, or redistribute suspected CSAM for the purpose of making a report. Report the account or content through the available reporting channel and contact local law enforcement where a child may be in immediate danger.
6. Community Conduct
You must treat other users with dignity and respect.
You must not use the Service to:
- harass, stalk, threaten, intimidate, shame, bully, or abuse another person;
- promote hatred, discrimination, or violence against a person or protected group;
- publish violent threats or encourage self-harm;
- impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity;
- create a fake, deceptive, misleading, or fraudulent profile;
- engage in romance scams, investment scams, extortion, blackmail, phishing, or fraud;
- request money, financial assistance, gift cards, cryptocurrency, bank transfers, or account credentials;
- conduct commercial solicitation, advertising, recruitment, political campaigning, or spam without our written permission;
- promote prostitution, escort services, compensated sexual activity, sexual trafficking, or commercial sexual services;
- solicit or offer illegal goods, controlled substances, weapons, or unlawful services;
- distribute pornography, non-consensual intimate material, voyeuristic content, or sexually exploitative content;
- upload content depicting sexual violence, bestiality, necrophilia, or other unlawful sexual conduct;
- share another person’s private information without permission;
- record, screenshot, publish, or distribute private communications or intimate content without all necessary consent;
- infringe intellectual property, privacy, publicity, or other rights;
- upload malware, harmful code, automated scripts, or malicious links;
- scrape, crawl, index, extract, collect, or harvest Service data without written permission;
- operate bots, automated accounts, or unauthorised artificial engagement systems;
- manipulate ranking, matching, reporting, payment, verification, or moderation systems;
- interfere with or overload the Service;
- reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive source code except where expressly permitted by law;
- create accounts to evade a suspension or ban; or
- encourage, assist, or facilitate another person in violating these Terms.
Conduct outside the Service may also result in action where we reasonably believe it presents a serious safety risk to users or materially affects the integrity of the Meetchi community.
7. User Content
“User Content” means photographs, profile information, biographies, preferences, messages, comments, reactions, reports, audio, video, and other material that you submit, upload, send, display, or otherwise make available through the Service.
You retain ownership of your User Content.
You represent and warrant that:
- you own the User Content or have all necessary rights and permissions to use it;
- the User Content is accurate and not misleading;
- the User Content does not violate these Terms or applicable law;
- the User Content does not violate another person’s intellectual property, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other rights; and
- every identifiable person appearing in the User Content has provided any consent required by law.
To operate, improve, secure, moderate, and promote the Service, you grant Meetchi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable and sublicensable licence to host, store, reproduce, display, adapt, process, analyse, transmit, and otherwise use your User Content solely in connection with:
- providing the Service;
- displaying your profile and content to other users according to your settings;
- delivering messages and interactions;
- moderating content and enforcing these Terms;
- detecting fraud, abuse, illegal content, and safety threats;
- operating backup, infrastructure, and technical systems;
- improving Service functionality; and
- complying with legal obligations.
This licence ends when the relevant User Content is deleted from our active systems, except where continued retention is reasonably necessary for backups, legal compliance, safety investigations, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or the enforcement of these Terms.
We are not obliged to publish, retain, review, or restore User Content.
We may remove, restrict, blur, block, or review User Content that we reasonably believe violates these Terms, presents a safety risk, infringes rights, or may be unlawful.
8. Messages and Communications
Messages between users are intended for personal communication.
You understand that:
- recipients may save, copy, screenshot, record, or redistribute messages;
- deleting a message or account may not remove copies already received or stored by another user;
- we may process messages using automated tools and, where appropriate, human review for safety, fraud prevention, content moderation, technical support, and legal compliance;
- we do not guarantee that messages will always be delivered, retained, or available; and
- we are not responsible for representations, promises, offers, or statements made by users.
You must not send unsolicited sexual content, threats, scams, commercial spam, malicious links, or illegal material.
9. Reporting, Blocking, Moderation and Enforcement
The Service may provide tools to report, block, unmatch, or otherwise restrict another user.
Reports should be made honestly and in good faith. Knowingly submitting false, malicious, retaliatory, or abusive reports is prohibited.
When reviewing a report, we may consider:
- reported content and account information;
- relevant communications;
- technical and device information;
- previous reports and enforcement history;
- information provided by affected users;
- publicly available information;
- information from service providers; and
- lawful requests from authorities.
We may, with or without prior notice:
- warn a user;
- remove or restrict content;
- limit features;
- require identity, photo, or age verification;
- temporarily suspend an account;
- permanently terminate an account;
- block associated devices, telephone numbers, emails, payment instruments, or identifiers;
- cancel or restrict subscriptions where permitted by law;
- preserve evidence;
- cooperate with competent authorities; or
- take any other proportionate action that we reasonably consider necessary.
We do not guarantee that every report will lead to enforcement or that we will disclose the outcome of a safety investigation.
10. Verification and Background Information
We may offer identity, age, profile, photo, phone, email, or other verification tools.
A verification indicator means only that a user completed the particular verification process available at that time. It does not mean that we endorse the user or guarantee:
- the user’s character;
- the accuracy of all profile information;
- the user’s intentions;
- the user’s criminal history;
- the user’s current relationship status; or
- the safety of interacting with the user.
Verification processes may contain errors, may be circumvented, and may not identify all false or fraudulent accounts.
11. Purchases, Subscriptions and Virtual Features
The Service may offer paid subscriptions, one-time purchases, boosts, premium features, virtual items, or other paid products.
Pricing, billing periods, included features, and renewal information will be shown before purchase.
App Store and Google Play Purchases
Where you purchase through Apple App Store, Google Play, or another third-party platform:
- payment is processed by that platform;
- its payment and refund rules may apply;
- subscriptions may automatically renew unless cancelled before the renewal deadline shown by the platform;
- you must manage or cancel the subscription through the platform account used to purchase it; and
- deleting your Meetchi account or uninstalling the application does not necessarily cancel the subscription.
Direct Purchases
Where purchases are processed directly by Meetchi or an authorised payment provider, the terms presented at checkout will apply.
Unless applicable law provides otherwise:
- charges are non-refundable once the relevant service has been supplied;
- unused time, virtual items, boosts, or premium features have no cash value;
- virtual items are licensed, not sold;
- virtual items cannot be transferred, sold, exchanged, or redeemed for money; and
- we may modify or discontinue virtual features, subject to mandatory consumer rights.
Nothing in these Terms limits statutory cancellation, refund, or consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.
12. Free Trials and Promotions
We may offer free trials, promotional pricing, credits, or limited-time features.
Eligibility may be restricted based on account, device, payment method, previous participation, location, or other reasonable criteria.
Unless stated otherwise, a free trial may convert into a paid, automatically renewing subscription when the trial ends. The applicable price and renewal details will be shown before activation.
You must cancel before the stated deadline to avoid being charged.
13. Account Deletion and Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time.
You may request account deletion through the available in-app account controls or by contacting info@meetchi.com.
Deleting the application from your device does not delete your account and does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
We may suspend or terminate your access where:
- you violate these Terms;
- we reasonably believe you present a safety, legal, security, or fraud risk;
- your account is inactive for an extended period;
- we are required to do so by law;
- continuing to provide the Service is no longer commercially or technically feasible; or
- you engage in conduct that may seriously harm Meetchi, its users, or third parties.
Where appropriate and legally required, we may provide notice or an opportunity to appeal. We may withhold detailed information where disclosure could compromise another person’s privacy, safety, an investigation, detection systems, or legal obligations.
Sections intended by their nature to survive termination will continue to apply, including provisions regarding licences, safety, intellectual property, disclaimers, liability, disputes, and legal compliance.
14. Privacy
Our collection and processing of personal data are described in the Meetchi Privacy Policy.
Profile information and User Content that you choose to publish may be visible to other users.
Meetchi does not sell your private messages or personal information in exchange for money.
We may share or make information available only as described in the Privacy Policy, including:
- information you choose to display to other users;
- information processed by contracted service providers;
- disclosures required for safety, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or protection of rights;
- disclosures made with your consent; and
- information involved in a corporate restructuring, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable law.
You should review the Privacy Policy carefully before using the Service.
15. Intellectual Property
The Service, excluding User Content, including its software, source code, interface, designs, logos, trademarks, graphics, databases, selection and arrangement of content, and other materials, is owned by or licensed to Meetchi and protected by intellectual-property laws.
Subject to these Terms, Meetchi grants you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to access and use the Service for your own lawful, non-commercial use.
No rights are granted except those expressly stated in these Terms.
You must not use the name “Meetchi”, MEETCHI LTD’s logos, branding, domains, or confusingly similar identifiers without prior written permission.
16. Third-Party Services
The Service may use or link to third-party services, including authentication providers, mapping services, payment processors, analytics providers, cloud hosting providers, notification services, moderation providers, and app stores.
Third-party services are governed by their own terms and privacy policies.
We are not responsible for third-party services, content, availability, security, or practices except to the extent required by applicable law.
17. Service Availability and Changes
We may modify, update, suspend, restrict, or discontinue all or part of the Service.
We do not guarantee that:
- the Service will always be available;
- the Service will operate without interruption, delay, or error;
- all defects will be corrected;
- every user will receive the same functionality;
- matches or recommendations will be accurate or successful; or
- stored content will remain available indefinitely.
We may perform maintenance, introduce new features, remove features, change eligibility criteria, or impose reasonable usage limits.
18. Disclaimer of Warranties
Nothing in these Terms excludes warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis.
Meetchi makes no guarantee regarding:
- the identity, age, intentions, background, character, conduct, or truthfulness of any user;
- the accuracy of profile information;
- compatibility or successful matching;
- the conduct of users online or offline;
- uninterrupted or error-free operation;
- the safety of in-person meetings;
- the availability of specific features; or
- any relationship or outcome resulting from use of the Service.
You assume the risks associated with communicating with and meeting persons through the Service.
19. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot legally be limited or excluded, including liability for fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or death or personal injury caused by negligence where applicable.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meetchi and its directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, licensors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential losses, including loss of profits, opportunity, goodwill, reputation, data, or anticipated savings.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Meetchi is not responsible for:
- the conduct of another user;
- information voluntarily disclosed by you to another user;
- unauthorised copying or distribution by another user;
- false, inaccurate, or misleading statements made by users;
- personal injury or loss arising from meetings arranged independently by users;
- scams, fraud, extortion, or requests for payment by another user;
- content or conduct outside our reasonable control; or
- failure caused by networks, devices, app stores, service providers, or events beyond our reasonable control.
Where permitted by law, our aggregate liability arising from or relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of:
- the amount you paid directly to Meetchi during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
- GBP £100.
This limitation does not apply where prohibited by applicable consumer law.
20. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Meetchi and its directors, employees, contractors, affiliates, and service providers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, and reasonable expenses arising from:
- your unlawful use of the Service;
- your User Content;
- your material breach of these Terms;
- your infringement of another person’s rights; or
- fraud, wilful misconduct, or illegal activity committed by you.
This section does not require a consumer to indemnify Meetchi for losses caused by Meetchi’s own breach, negligence, or unlawful conduct.
21. Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms and any non-contractual obligations arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales, subject to mandatory consumer protections that apply in your country of residence.
Before commencing formal proceedings, you and Meetchi agree to attempt to resolve the dispute informally by providing written notice describing:
- the nature of the dispute;
- the relevant account information;
- the facts supporting the claim; and
- the resolution requested.
Notices should be sent to info@meetchi.com.
If a dispute cannot be resolved informally, the courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law permits or requires you to bring proceedings in your place of residence.
Nothing in this section deprives you of mandatory rights or remedies available under applicable consumer-protection law.
22. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes in:
- the Service;
- applicable law;
- safety standards;
- regulatory requirements;
- technology;
- business operations; or
- our practices.
We will publish the updated Terms and update the “Last Updated” date.
Where changes materially affect your rights, we will provide reasonable notice through the Service, by email, or by another appropriate method where required by law.
Continued use after the effective date of updated Terms constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Where consent is legally required, we will request it separately.
23. General Provisions
These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any policies incorporated by reference, constitute the agreement between you and Meetchi concerning the Service.
If any provision is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.
Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of that provision.
You may not transfer your rights or obligations under these Terms without our written permission.
We may transfer our rights and obligations as part of a merger, acquisition, corporate restructuring, financing, asset transfer, or similar transaction, subject to applicable law.
Headings are provided for convenience and do not affect interpretation.
